Wallisdown Lads continued their good start to the season by taking all four points against the Corfe A side at the Wallisdown Club on Tuesday, the first throw of the night Corfe needed 14 to win the leg, last man Dean Harper did the hard work and got the stick-up but only took three with his last ball, that was the only stick-up that Corfe A managed in the evening in a nine leg game.
Another game that took place on Tuesday was the fixture between the BH15 PH ‘B’ and the Claypipe Lads which was at the BH15 club, the result was a 3-1 win for the Claypipe Lads who so far have done exactly what they did last season as far as the points and Beers go, they picked up one point in both their first two games then got three points in their fourth league week.
Bluebirds E were home against the BH15 Tossers on Wednesday, the Tossers won the first point of the evening in a best of three, Bluebirds E won the second point two straight, the third and fourth point went to a best of three legs each time meaning the game went eleven 11 legs on the night.
Thursday’s match between the Corfe Lads and Bluebirds A at the Corfe Legion finished up as a 4-0 home defeat for the Lads, maybe they were out of practice as they had not played for two weeks. Next week they are against the Wallisdown Lads who have only dropped one point this season.
